How much rear wheel travel does this give?
Roughly 19 inches of working rear wheel travel. That is the most of any Gen 3 Raptor rear setup we build — billet links on the factory shock give 15 inches, and the through-the-bed bed cage kit gives 17.
Do I choose my shocks when I order?
Yes. Shock Option and Bump Stop Kit are both chosen on this page before you add to cart. You can take the kit with no shocks at all, a Fox or ADS 2.5" coil over, or the Fox coil over with a 3" bypass, and add the FMI bump stop kit to the same order.
Do I lose my bed space?
No. Every part of this kit lives under the bed. The bed floor, the factory fuel tank and the factory spare tire location all stay exactly where they are.
Does it fit a 2025 or 2026 Raptor?
Yes. It fits 2021 through 2026 Gen 3 and Gen 3.5 trucks, Raptor R included.
Can I keep the factory live valve shock?
Yes. The second rear shock position will take the factory live valve shock, so the electronic control system stays fully functional. You can upgrade to the Fox live valve shock or a 3" external bypass later without changing the suspension.
What is a cantilever rear suspension?
A linkage that sits between the axle and the shock. The axle moves a bellcrank, and the bellcrank compresses a shorter shock mounted where there is room for it. It converts a long wheel stroke into a short shock stroke, which is how you get 19 inches of travel without a shock coming through the bed floor.
Does it require welding?
Yes. The rear axle plate kit welds to the axle housing. This is a fabrication-shop job, or bring the truck to us in Mesa.
What shocks does the cantilever use?
A standard off-the-shelf 2.5" coil over with adjustable ride height — nothing proprietary, so tuning, revalving and service all stay straightforward.
Do I still need bump stops?
Yes, and more than ever. The more travel the suspension has, the more energy is in it by the time it reaches the end of the stroke. You can add our rear bump stop kit to this order, and it works with a stock truck too.
