Description
A quick release single tire carrier for full-size truck beds that holds a spare up to 40" and comes out in minutes when you need the bed back. The mounts adjust side to side to fit any bed, and it also works on flat beds and trailers.
A spare strapped down in the bed is either in the way or permanently bolted in. This carrier is retained by quick pins, and when you pull it out only a small cleat is left behind, sitting nearly even with the bed ribs, so the bed stays usable.
What Is In The Kit
Base kit:
- 2 side post kits
- 2 short floor cross members
- 3 quick release mount kits with pins
- 1 hardware kit for all mounting
Add-on accessories are selected as options. See Options below.
Why A Quick Release Carrier
A full-size spare is heavy and awkward, and a fixed mount means giving up part of the bed full time. The quick release system uses a quick pin to retain the rack, so the carrier can be removed in minutes when you need the space and put back before the next trip.
When it is out, there is no large, clumsy mounting hardware left in the bed. Only a small cleat section remains, and it sits nearly even with the ribs of the bed.
How It Is Built
- U.S. steel and aluminum
- Laser cut and CNC bent for consistent fit
- Fixture welded
- Powder coated black for corrosion protection
- Stainless hardware
- Breaks down into sections so it ships by UPS or FedEx, with no freight truck needed
Fitment And Layout
Works in all brands of full-size trucks, and can be used in any flat bed or trailer configuration. The system is fully adjustable: the mounts move right to left in the main cross member to fit any configuration of truck bed.
- Holds a single tire up to 40"
- Install it near the front of the bed by the cab, or at the back by the tailgate
- Run more than one single tire carrier in the same truck, so you can remove one or both quickly
Options
- Side light mounts: chase light mounts that make it easy to mount a smaller light facing behind the truck
- Black Y strap
- Jack: FMI quick release aluminum jack, or ProEagle 2 ton jack
An add-on side plate lets you mount accessories such as a jack standing up or a power tank.
