Description
An adjustable fabricated rear suspension kit for the 2021–2024 Ram TRX: upper and lower trailing arms plus the panhard bar, built from 4130 chromoly. Uniballs and rod ends replace the factory rubber bushings at every link.
The factory rear locates the axle on rubber bushings that flex under load, and that flex turns into wheel hop. Swapping to race-style bearings makes the truck feel more predictable. The kit works with the stock shocks and springs.
What Is In The Kit
- 2 lower adjustable fabricated FMI trailing arms, with 1.5" uniballs at the front and 1.25" rod ends at the axle
- 2 upper adjustable fabricated FMI trailing arms, with 1" uniballs at the front and 1" rod ends at the axle
- 1 fabricated adjustable panhard bar, with a 1" uniball at the frame and a 1" rod end at the axle
- 1 kit of hardware and spacers needed for install
Why Replace The Rear Links
The rear axle is located by the trailing arms front to back and by the panhard bar side to side. From the factory, each of those links mounts through rubber bushings. Rubber is soft on purpose, so under hard acceleration, braking or a big hit the axle moves around inside its own bushings.
That movement is what shows up as a vague, wandering rear end and, under power, as wheel hop. Replacing the bushings with rigid uniballs and rod ends puts the axle where the links say it is. The truck feels more predictable, and flex that would turn into wheel hop is limited.
How It Is Built
- Fabricated from 4130 chromoly
- Uniballs and rod ends at every joint, in place of rubber bushings
- Adjustable upper arms, lower arms and panhard bar
Fitment
Fits the Ram TRX, model years 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Works with the stock rear shocks and springs.
Installation
The kit can be installed in only a few hours. Hardware and spacers needed for install are included.
Questions
What does this kit replace?
Both upper trailing arms, both lower trailing arms and the panhard bar.
Do I need new shocks or springs?
No. The kit works with the stock shocks and springs.
What joints does it use?
1.5" front uniballs and 1.25" axle rod ends on the lower arms, 1" front uniballs and 1" axle rod ends on the upper arms, and a 1" uniball at the frame and 1" rod end at the axle on the panhard bar.
Will it help with wheel hop?
Yes. Removing the rubber bushings limits the flex that turns into wheel hop.
How long does it take to install?
Only a few hours.
What else can I add?
A rear bump stop kit to help handle the big bumps, shock guards, and rear spring spacers to provide some lift in the rear. These are available as add-ons.
