A leaf spring has to do two jobs at once: hold the truck up and locate the axle. Asking one part to do both means compromise in each. A 5-link rear splits those jobs. Coil springs carry the weight, the four trailing links control the axle front to back and its rotation, and the panhard bar holds it centered side to side.

Building that layout to Gen 3 Raptor geometry means the stock Gen 3 parts work in it exactly as Ford designed them, and every upgrade made for the Gen 3 rear is an option for your truck too.

These factory Ford parts must be sourced separately, for example from Ford's OEM parts:

• Stock rear coil spring lower cast mounts: lower left side ML3V-5794-A, lower right side ML3V-5793-A
• Stock rear coil spring rubber isolators: upper, left and right ML3Z-5586-C; lower, left and right ML3Z-8321-A

Rear springs

Use stock Gen 3 take-offs or upgrade to aftermarket springs.

Rear links and panhard bar

• OEM Gen 3 take-offs
• Foutz Motorsports billet aluminum links and panhard bar
• Heavy-duty fabricated stock-length links with an adjustable panhard bar

Shocks

Run OEM Gen 3 rear shocks or any aftermarket stock-location upgrade shocks. The kit is fully compatible with both.

For the 2010–2014 Gen 1 Ford Raptor and the F-150.

Raptor width only. It cannot be used on a standard F-150 without a Raptor-width rear axle and the wider rear body.

Compatible with both 35" and 37" tires.

This kit requires substantial cutting and welding and must be installed by a qualified fabricator.

Does it work with the FMI rear bump stop kit?

Yes. The Foutz Motorsports rear bump stop kit for the conversion works with it.

What tire sizes can I run?

It is compatible with both 35" and 37" tires.

Will FMI skids and guards still fit?

Yes. It works with the Foutz Motorsports rear axle diff skid, rear shock skids and guards.

Can I go further later?

Yes. The conversion can be upgraded to a coilover bed-cage shock kit.

Can I put it on a standard F-150?

Not on its own. It fits Raptor width only, so a standard F-150 needs a Raptor-width rear axle and the wider rear body.

Are springs, links and shocks included?

No. The kit is the mounts, axle brackets and hardware. You choose your springs, links, panhard bar and shocks, and source the factory lower spring mounts and isolators listed above.

Is it bolt-on?

No. It requires substantial cutting and welding and must be installed by a qualified fabricator.
