Description
An aluminum fuel tank skid plate for the 2022–2026 Ford Bronco Raptor. Precision laser cut from 3/16" aluminum and TIG welded to shield the tank from rocks and debris.
The Bronco Raptor's large fuel tank hangs low under the truck with no shielding of its own. With that little clearance, it is one of the first things a rock or a hard landing will find.
Why Protect The Fuel Tank
Most of what hangs under a truck is steel and can take a hit. A fuel tank is different: it is a large, exposed surface carrying fuel, and on the Bronco Raptor it sits low with minimal ground clearance and nothing between it and the trail.
A skid plate puts a sheet of aluminum between the tank and whatever is under the truck, so a rock strike or a drag over a ledge lands on the plate instead of the tank.
