Sold as a full kit only — the pieces are designed to work as one system, and the crossmember support is what the rear skid mounts to.

With stock guards, the transmission crossmember can bend in heavy rock conditions. A bent crossmember moves the transmission mount, and everything downstream of that is suddenly loaded in a way it was not designed for.

The kit includes a crossmember support and mounting plate that adds substantial strength there, so the structure holds rather than just the cover taking the hit.

Off-road armor like this is cheap insurance next to what it protects.

We recommend a qualified mechanic install this item. The plates are heavy and awkward to hold up single-handed, and the crossmember support has to be located correctly for the rear skid to line up.

The 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 TRX is a different generation and uses its own skid plate kit. Ram did not build a TRX for 2025 or 2026, so a part listed for 2021-2024 does not carry forward to the 2027 truck.

Can I buy just one plate?

No, it is sold as a full kit. The crossmember support is what the rear skid mounts to, so the pieces are not independent of each other.

Aluminum or steel?

3/16" aluminum. It keeps the weight down where the truck is already heavy, and it is thick enough to take the hits this area sees.

Does it replace the factory front skid plate?

No. This kit is designed to work with the stock front skid plate in place.

Does it need cutting or welding?

No, it bolts on — but we recommend a qualified mechanic do the install.

What does the transfer case guard cover?

The rear exposed section of the transfer case, which the factory guards leave open.
