This is one of the parts that genuinely crosses generations:

• 2027 and up Ram TRX
• 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 Ram TRX
• 2025 Ram RHO

Most TRX suspension parts do not carry across the 2025-2026 gap, so do not assume from this one that others will — check the years on each listing.

The skid protects the bottom of the shock from what the ground throws up. The rear shock guard mud flap kit handles the other direction — roost thrown back off the front tires, which is what actually sandblasts a rear shock shaft.

Running both is the usual combination for a truck that sees real miles off-road.

How many skids are in the kit?

Two — one for each side — with the longer shock bolts and rear mount bolts needed to fit them.

Do I need to drill or weld anything?

No. The main mount shares the existing shock bolt and the back plate picks up a second bolt.

Will this fit my 2021-2024 TRX or my RHO?

Yes. This part fits the 2027 and up TRX, the 2021-2024 TRX and the 2025 RHO.

What is it made from?

3/16" steel, MIG welded, with a black textured powder coat finish.

Does it protect the shock shaft too?

The skid guards the bottom of the shock body and the axle mounts. For the shaft, what you want is the mud flap guard — see the section above.
