Foutz Motorsports Billet Top Hat - Stock Height 2027 Ram 1500 TRX

The factory top hats rely on a rubber bushing to support the shock shaft. That is fine until it is not, and aftermarket springs bring the failure forward. If a stock top hat fails:

• The shock can drop completely out of the spring bucket
• Surrounding suspension components may be damaged
• Expensive repairs can result — damage that is avoidable with a stronger billet top hat

Swapping to billet removes the failure point rather than postponing it.

These billet aluminum top hats feature a serviceable and replaceable uniball that will require periodic maintenance over time.

• The uniball is pressed into the billet aluminum housing manufactured by Foutz Motorsports. While it will naturally wear over time, it can be easily replaced with an affordable replacement.
• The lifespan of the uniball varies depending on driving conditions, usage, and environment, so maintenance intervals may differ between users.
• Uniballs are not manufactured by Foutz Motorsports. However, we use industry-leading FK rod end uniballs in all of our suspension components to ensure the highest possible quality and durability.
• The uniball is considered a wear item and should be replaced when signs of wear appear.

For the standard billet top hat we use the FK uniball part number WSSX14T, available on our site: WSSX14T replacement uniball.

2027 Ram 1500 TRX, stock shocks, stock ride height. The 10mm studs are sized to the TRX shock tower configuration.

The 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 TRX is a different generation and uses its own top hats. Ram did not build a TRX for 2025 or 2026, so a part listed for 2021-2024 does not carry forward to the 2027 truck.

Does this lift the truck?

No. These are stock height and install with no lift, keeping factory ride height.

Do I need these if I have aftermarket springs?

That is exactly when the factory rubber bushing is most likely to fail, so yes — it is the situation these were built for.

Is the uniball serviceable?

Yes, and it is a wear item. It presses into the billet housing and is replaced when signs of wear appear — part number WSSX14T, linked above.

Will these work with my stock shocks?

Yes. They are engineered for the stock shock upper mounts on the 2027 Ram TRX.

What finishes are available?
