A wrench driven rivet nut tool is needed for install on non-rail trucks, and it is NOT included.

If your bed does not have the factory rail system, the panel mounts through rivet nuts and you will need the tool to set them. We sell it: wrench-drive rivet nut installation tool, M8 thread size.

On a rail-equipped bed the panel quick attaches to the existing hardware locations and the tool is not needed.

2027 Ram 1500 TRX bed, one side.

The 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 TRX uses its own version of the panel kit. Ram did not build a TRX for 2025 or 2026, so check the year on the listing.

Does this cover both sides of the bed?

No, one side. It ships as three panels — rear, middle and front — that together cover one bed wall.

Are the Grid Inserts included?

No. Inserts are what mount each specific accessory, and they can be added at any time after the panel is installed.

How much weight will it hold?

It is .135" 1018 steel and is used for heavy items including power tanks and hi-lift jacks.

Do I need the rivet nut tool?

Only on non-rail trucks. It is not included — see the installation section above.

Does it block the bed cleats?

The panel covers the cleat area rather than working around it, which is what gives it the most mounting surface. Anything you were using the cleat for mounts to the grid instead.
