Foutz Motorsports Adjustable Panhard Bar Kit - Heim Joint type 2027 Ram 1500 TRX

The panhard bar runs at an angle from the frame on one side to the axle on the other. Lift the truck and that angle changes, which pulls the axle across — you see it as the rear tires sitting off-center in the wheel wells, and you feel it as a truck that does not track straight.

An adjustable bar lets you lengthen or shorten it until the axle is centered again. If you have added a rear spring spacer lift or changed springs, this is the part that finishes the job.

Both bars do the same job on the same 1.5" chromoly tube. The difference is the joints, and it is a real trade-off:

• Heim joint (this page) — an FK 1" rod end on the adjustable side and an FK 1" uniball on the fixed side, with 17-4 stainless steel spacers at both the frame and axle ends. Metal on metal, nothing to deflect, the most precise axle location available. The trade is that road noise and vibration come through rather than being absorbed.
• Johnny Joint version — a forged joint with a urethane liner that keeps vibration and noise down, and is serviceable. The choice for a truck that still does daily road miles.

• (1) Fabricated panhard bar — 1.5" diameter chromoly tube, MIG welded, texture black powder coat
• (2) 17-4 stainless spacers at the frame side
• (2) 17-4 stainless spacers at the axle side
• (1) FK rod end, 1" ball with 1" thread
• (1) 1" jam nut
• (1) FK 1" uniball with ring clip

2027 Ram 1500 TRX.

The 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 TRX is a different generation and uses its own panhard bar. Ram did not build a TRX for 2025 or 2026, so a part listed for 2021-2024 does not carry forward to the 2027 truck.

Is a panhard bar the same as a track bar?

Yes. Panhard bar, track bar and rear axle locating bar all describe this part.

Do I need this if I have not lifted the truck?

At stock ride height the factory bar centers the axle correctly. The adjustable bar earns its place once you change ride height — springs, spacers or a full lift.

Will I hear it in the cab?

More than with the Johnny Joint version. A heim joint has no urethane liner, so it transmits what it picks up. That is the same reason it locates the axle more precisely.

Why all the stainless hardware?

17-4 stainless spacers at both ends resist corrosion at the pivots without giving up strength, which is what keeps the joint working freely over time.

What is the tube made from?

1.5" diameter chromoly, MIG welded, with a texture black powder coat finish.
