Every suspension needs something to stop it at each end of its travel. At top-out, a limit strap restrains the suspension so the shock is not solely responsible for stopping droop. That protects the top shock mount from premature damage and extends the life of the front suspension components.

At bottom-out, a hydraulic bump stop cushions the last of the travel instead of letting the suspension hit hard. This kit handles both ends on the stock RHO front suspension.

It matters most on an RHO running aftermarket springs.

What does a limit strap do?

It restrains the suspension at top-out, so the shock is not the only thing stopping droop. That protects the top shock mount.

Do I need this with aftermarket springs?

That is where it matters most. Running aftermarket springs on the RHO without one leaves the shock stopping droop on its own.

Is any welding required?

Yes. The bump stop mount welds to the frame, so a qualified welder or fabricator should install it.
