Description
A bolt-on steel skid that protects the bottom of the rear shocks and the rear axle shock mounts on the 2024 and newer Ford Ranger Raptor. Laser cut and CNC bent from 3/16" steel, MIG welded in-house and finished in black textured powder coat.
The lower end of the rear shock sits low on the axle, right where rocks hit. A dented shock body or a bent lower mount can take a shock out of service. This kit puts a welded steel skid between the rock and the shock, and it works with the FOX Live Valve shock on the Ranger Raptor.
What Is In The Kit
- 2 shock skid welded assemblies
The kit uses all factory hardware and bolts, so no extra hardware is included or needed.
Why Protect The Rear Shocks
The bottom of the rear shock and its axle mount are some of the lowest points on the rear of the truck. On rocky trails they are what scrapes first when the axle drops onto a ledge or drags over a boulder.
The shock is also one of the most expensive parts of the rear suspension to replace. A steel skid under it takes the impact and lets the truck slide off the obstacle, so the shock body and the axle mount do not.
How It Is Built
