Description
A bolt-on rear lower shock skid kit for the 2022–2026 Ford Bronco Raptor with the stock factory shocks. It protects the bottom of the rear shock and the rear axle shock mounts from rock damage.
The lower end of the rear shock sits low on the axle, right where rocks make contact. This kit puts 3/16" steel in front of it, with an angled leading edge that helps the mount slide over an obstacle instead of catching on it.
What Is In The Kit
- 2 shock skid welded assemblies
- 2 longer shock casting mount bolts
Why Protect The Rear Shocks
On the Bronco Raptor, the bottom of each rear shock and its axle mount hang below the axle tube. In the rocks they are often the first thing to touch down. A hit there can dent the shock body, damage the lower eyelet or bend the mount, and any of those takes the shock out of service.
A skid in front of the shock takes the impact instead. The front edge is angled so the truck is less likely to hang up on a rock at the shock mount and can slide over it.
How It Is Built
- 3/16" steel, precision laser cut and CNC bent
- MIG welded
- Black textured powder coat finish
- Angled front edge to reduce hang-ups on rock obstacles
The main mount shares the rear support mount bolts for secure mounting and strength.
