Description
A bolt-on steel skid kit that protects the bottom of the rear shocks and the rear axle shock mounts on the 2022 and newer Ford Bronco with the HOSS 3.0 shock package. Laser cut and CNC bent from 3/16" steel, MIG welded and finished in black textured powder coat.
On a Bronco the lower end of each rear shock hangs off the axle, low enough to take the first hit when the rear drops onto a rock. This kit puts a welded steel skid under the shock and the mount so the rock hits steel instead of the shock body.

- 2 shock skid welded assemblies
- 2 longer shock bolts and nuts
- 4 side mount bolts
Why Protect The Rear Shocks
The bottom of the rear shock and the axle mount it bolts to sit at one of the lowest points on the rear of the truck. On a rocky trail they are often the first thing to make contact when the axle comes down on a ledge or drags across a boulder.
A dented shock body or a damaged lower mount is an expensive way to end a trail day. A steel skid takes that contact instead, protecting both the shock and the rear axle mounts from rock damage.

The main mount shares the shock bolt, which is why the kit includes longer shock bolts and nuts. Additional bolts through the side plate keep everything in the correct position at all times.

Installation
Easy bolt-on install. Each skid mounts on the shock bolt, using the longer shock bolts and nuts in the kit, and is held in position by the side mount bolts.
