Description
An adjustable rear panhard bar for the 2021 and newer Ford Bronco, built on Johnny Joints: a forged 1" Johnny Joint rod end on the adjustable side and a Johnny Joint on the fixed side. Made from 1.5" diameter chromoly tube.
Change the ride height and the factory fixed-length panhard bar pulls the rear axle off center. This bar adjusts in length so you can re-center the axle, and the Johnny Joints' urethane liner helps keep vibration and noise down.
What Is In The Kit
- 1 fabricated panhard bar
- 1 Johnny Joint, 1" ball and 1" thread
- 1 1" jam nut
- 1 Johnny Joint 1" weld-on assembly
Why Adjustable
The panhard bar is what holds the rear axle centered side to side. It pivots at the frame and at the axle, so when ride height changes the bar swings through a different arc and drags the axle toward one side. A fixed bar cannot correct that.
With a threaded joint on one end, this bar can be lengthened or shortened to put the axle back in the center after a ride height change.
The Johnny Joint
A Johnny Joint uses a urethane liner around the ball rather than running metal on metal. That liner helps keep vibration and noise down, and the joint is serviceable when it needs it.
How It Is Built
- 1.5" diameter chromoly tube
- Forged 1" Johnny Joint rod end on the adjustable side, Johnny Joint on the fixed side
- MIG welded and powder coated in a textured black finish
Fitment
Fits the 2021 and newer Ford Bronco rear suspension.
Questions
Do I need an adjustable panhard bar?
If you have changed your Bronco's ride height, the axle will no longer sit centered on the factory bar. This kit lets you re-center it.
Why choose the Johnny Joint version?
The urethane liner in the Johnny Joint helps keep vibration and noise down, and the joint is serviceable when needed.
Is a panhard bar the same as a track bar?
Yes. Same part, two names. It locates the rear axle side to side.
