Description
A billet tie rod kit for the 2021 and newer Ford Bronco, CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with FK rod ends at both ends. It uses 7/8" FK rod ends at the spindle and 3/4" FK rod ends at the steering rack, with 17-4 stainless spacers and grade 8 hardware.
Every steering input and every hit to a front tire goes through the tie rods. This kit replaces them with machined aluminum tie rods and spherical rod ends, bolts on directly with no major modifications, and keeps the rack sealed with urethane boots.
What Is In The Kit
- 2 billet tie rod tubes, with 7/8" rod ends at the wheels and 3/4" rod ends at the steering rack
- 2 steering rack clevis adapters
- 2 tie rod boots
- Hardware kit: 17-4 stainless steel spacers, grade 8 bolts and lock nuts
Why Upgrade The Tie Rods
A tie rod is a push-pull link between the steering rack and the knuckle. It steers the wheel, and it also takes the side load back from the wheel every time a front tire hits a rock, a ledge or a rut. On a Bronco that gets used off-road, that load never really stops.
This kit builds that link from machined 6061-T6 aluminum with FK rod ends at both ends, and uses high-misalignment stainless spacers so the joints cycle smoothly through steering lock and suspension travel. The result is a solid, direct feel at the wheel.
How It Is Built
- 6061-T6 aluminum tie rods, CNC machined to a unique shape for proper clearance, with flat areas left for secure fastening.
- FK rod ends: 7/8" at the spindle, 3/4" at the steering rack.
- 17-4 stainless steel high-misalignment spacers for a smooth steering cycle.
- Grade 8 bolts and lock nuts at the spindle and at the steering rack.
- Urethane boots keep water and dirt out, protecting the steering components.
