Description
A race-proven mid travel front suspension kit for the 2021–2026 Ford F-150 Raptor, with 4130 fabricated lower arms, billet aluminum upper arms and frame mounts. Stock Raptor width, so no fiberglass is required, and the geometry is optimized for both on-road and off-road driving.
It is built to grow with the truck. Run it on the factory front coil shock, then add a custom FOX 3.0" external bypass, a front sway bar kit and a front bump stop kit as the build goes further.
What Is In The Kit
- 2 fabricated 4130 lower A-arms with 1.5" uniballs, snap rings and spacers
- 2 billet aluminum upper A-arms with 1.25" uniballs, 7/8" rod ends and spacers
- 1 set of frame mounts for the upper shock tower
- 1 set of limit straps and mounting tabs
Shocks are not included. The custom FOX 3.0" bypass shock and the front bump stop mount are selected in the options. The Bump Stop Mount - Fox bump option includes the FOX hydraulic bump stop with the mount.
Why Mid Travel
Mid travel is the step past bolt-on parts for a truck that is driven hard off-road. It replaces the factory front arms with a stronger lower arm, a billet upper arm and geometry developed for both on-road and off-road driving, while staying at stock Raptor width so the factory body panels stay on.
The kit keeps the factory front spindle, tie rod and spring tower structure, so you can start with what the truck already has and upgrade each piece when you are ready.
How It Is Built
- Lower arms: full 4130 fabricated, with 1.5" uniballs. The lower arm has an integrated bump pad and limit strap mount.
- Upper arms: billet aluminum, with 1.25" uniballs and 7/8" rod ends.
- Joints: FK rod ends and uniballs throughout, chosen for quality and long life.
- Geometry: optimized for on-road and off-road driving, at stock Raptor width.
The kit has been race-proven and tested repeatedly.
Shock Options
Factory or aftermarket coil shock
The kit works with the stock factory front coil shock or any aftermarket shock that fits in the stock location, so the stock spring tower structure stays. Keep the stock Live Valve shock, or upgrade to the FOX aftermarket Live Valve coil-over shock with adjustable coil height.
Custom FOX 3.0" external bypass
The kit lets you add a custom 3" external bypass shock that mounts to the lower arm, with a top add-on shock mount structure that ties into the factory spring tower to further strengthen it.
The bypass shock is a very specific layout, designed to clear even a factory stock Raptor wheel. It must be ordered with your kit to ensure correct fit. No other bypass shock will fit this kit.
Upgrade Path
- Front sway bar kit. Uses race-quality components and is designed to fit alongside the extra bypass shock. It also adds support to the rear lower A-arm mount, which is inherently weak in stock condition.
- Front bump stop kit. The lower arm already has the bump pad and limit strap mount built in. The system uses a 2.5" diameter, 2.5" stroke bump stop mounted directly to the frame for strength.
- Fabricated spindle kit. The kit keeps the stock front spindle, which can be upgraded to our fabricated spindle kit later.
- Billet tie rod kit. The factory tie rod works with this kit, or you can upgrade to a billet tie rod kit.
