Description
A fabricated front bypass shock mount kit for the 2021–2024 Ram TRX, needed with any Foutz Motorsports TRX front kit to mount the secondary bypass shock. It is an add-on to the TRX Mid Travel Front Suspension kit and includes one right and one left side mount.
A bypass shock needs a solid upper mount, and the factory coil bucket was never designed to carry a second shock. This tower reinforces the top of the factory coil bucket and supports the back side of the upper arm bolt with the tower upright, so the bolt is stronger too.
What Is In The Kit
- 1 right side bypass shock mount
- 1 left side bypass shock mount
The shock is not included.
Why A Bypass Shock Tower
Adding a secondary bypass shock puts new load into the front of the truck. This tower gives that shock a dedicated mount and ties it into the factory coil bucket, reinforcing the top of the bucket instead of hanging extra load off it.
The tower upright also supports the back side of the upper arm bolt, which strengthens that bolt as well.
How It Is Built
The mounts are fabricated and MIG welded for strength and durability.
The tower is designed to work with a custom-made shock that is part of the Foutz Motorsports mid and long travel kits, and it works with the Foutz Motorsports TRX fabricated lower control arm.
Fitment
Fits the 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 Ram TRX with a Foutz Motorsports TRX front suspension kit.
This tower requires a special custom-layout bypass shock. Ask your FMI sales rep for information on the correct shock before ordering.
Installation
- Welding to the frame is required.
- Installation should be performed by a qualified welder or fabricator.
