Description
An adjustable rear panhard bar for the 2021–2024 Ram TRX, built on a 1.5" diameter chromoly tube with an FK 1" rod end at the adjustable end and an FK 1" uniball at the fixed end. It lets you re-center the rear axle after you change ride height.
When the rear ride height changes, the factory fixed-length bar swings through a different arc and pulls the axle off center. An adjustable bar lets you set the length so the axle sits centered under the truck again.
What Is In The Kit
- 1 fabricated panhard bar
- 1 FK rod end, 1" ball with 1" thread
- 1 1" jam nut
- 1 FK 1" uniball with ring clip
- 2 17-4 stainless spacers for the frame side
- 2 17-4 stainless spacers for the axle side
Why An Adjustable Panhard Bar
The panhard bar (also called a track bar) is the link that holds the rear axle centered side to side. It runs from the frame on one side to the axle on the other, so it swings in an arc as the suspension moves.
Change the rear ride height and the bar sits at a different point in that arc. A fixed-length bar then pushes the axle toward one side, and one rear tire ends up closer to its fender than the other. An adjustable bar lets you change the length to bring the axle back to center for the ride height you are running.
How It Is Built
- 1.5" diameter chromoly tube for the main bar.
- Adjustable end: FK 1" rod end (heim joint), locked with a 1" jam nut.
- Fixed end: FK 1" uniball, retained with a ring clip.
- 17-4 stainless steel mounting spacers at the frame and the axle.
- MIG welded and powder coated in a textured black finish.
A rod end and a uniball are metal-on-metal spherical joints. They locate the axle directly, with no rubber to compress under side load.
Fitment
Fits the 2021–2024 Ram TRX, rear suspension.
Questions
Is a panhard bar the same as a track bar?
Yes. Same part, two names. It locates the rear axle side to side.
When do I need an adjustable panhard bar?
When you change the rear ride height. The adjustable bar lets you re-center the axle afterwards.
Is a heim joint the same as a rod end?
Yes. This kit uses an FK 1" rod end, often called a heim joint, at the adjustable end.
What is the bar made of?
1.5" diameter chromoly tube, MIG welded and powder coated textured black, with 17-4 stainless mounting spacers.
Are spacers included?
Yes. Two 17-4 stainless spacers for the frame side and two for the axle side.
