Description
A 2.5" front leveling kit for the 2021–2024 Ram TRX that lifts the front with under-spring collars instead of a top-mount block spacer. The collars mount to the shock body under the lower spring perch and add preload to the stock spring, bringing the front up so the truck sits level with the rear.
The point is to gain front ride height without changing the suspension geometry the way a block on top of the spring does, so the ball joints and CV joints are not pushed into extra droop and bind.
What Is In The Kit
- 2 lower coil spring collars for 2.5" of lift
- 2 rotational indexing posts with hardware
Why An Under-Spring Collar Instead Of A Block
The common way to level a front end is a block spacer on top of the shock mount. That block moves the whole shock down. The suspension can then droop farther than it was designed to, which puts bind on the ball joints and CV joints and leads to premature failures.
This kit works from the other end of the spring. The collar sits under the lower spring perch on the shock body and adds preload to the stock spring. The shock stays where the factory mounted it, so the front gains ride height without the added droop that a top-mount block brings with it.
The design comes from what we learned about stock suspension in our Raptor R race programs and from years of racing stock-suspension Ford Super Duty race trucks.
Choosing The Right Size
The kit is available in three sizes: 1.5", 2" and 2.5" of lift. This listing is the 2.5" kit.
Measure before you order. Measure your truck front and back to work out how much lift it needs. The TRX has up to 6 different spring part numbers depending on options, and trucks can sit differently from the factory with the variety of stock rear springs, so your truck may need a different size than another TRX.
Fitment
Fits the 2021–2024 Ram TRX, front suspension, on the stock front springs.
Installation
Installing the collars means compressing the front spring. This kit should be installed by a professional with the correct tools to compress the spring without risking injury or damage to the truck. Compressing a spring can be dangerous if not done correctly, so do not attempt it without the correct tools for the job.
Get the truck realigned after installing the spacers so you do not end up with poor front tire wear.
See the Install Instructions on this page for the full procedure.
Finishes
Two finish options: raw billet aluminum or black anodized. Choose yours in the options above.
Questions
How much lift does this kit add?
This is the 2.5" kit. The same design is also offered in 1.5" and 2".
Which size does my TRX need?
Measure the truck front and back first. The TRX uses up to 6 different spring part numbers depending on options, so the right size can vary from truck to truck.
Why not just use a block spacer on top?
A top-mount block moves the whole shock down and lets the suspension droop farther than intended, which binds the ball joints and CV joints. The under-spring collar adds preload to the stock spring instead.
Do I keep my stock springs?
Yes. The collar adds preload to the stock spring.
Do I need an alignment afterwards?
Yes. Get the truck realigned after install to avoid poor front tire wear.
Can I install it myself?
It should be installed by a professional with the correct tools to compress the front spring safely.
