Description
A front differential skid plate for the 2017 and newer Ford Super Duty trucks with the Dana M256 front axle (14 bolt cover). 3/16" thick steel, powder coated textured black, and bolt-on with the Grade 8 hardware included.
The factory differential cover is thin stamped steel that can bend or leak after a hard hit. This skid plate covers the lower section of the differential to shield the ring and pinion from rocks and debris on the trail.
What Is In The Kit
- Front differential skid plate for the Dana M256 front axle
- Grade 8 hardware
Why Protect The Front Differential
The front differential hangs low and leads the truck into every rock and ledge. A stamped steel cover that takes a hit can dent into the ring gear or lose its seal and start leaking, and either one can end the trip.
A 3/16" steel skid over the lower section of the differential takes that hit instead, so the cover and the ring and pinion behind it stay protected.
How It Is Built
- 3/16" thick steel, precision cut and powder coated in textured black
- Full lower differential coverage to protect the most vulnerable section from direct rock impacts
- Grade 8 hardware included for a complete bolt-on kit
- Race inspired design, drawn from Foutz Motorsports off-road race trucks
Fitment
2017 and newer Ford Super Duty trucks with the Dana M256 front axle (14 bolt cover) only.
Not sure which front axle you have? Count the bolts in your front differential cover before ordering. The Dana M256 cover has 14 bolts; the Dana 60 has 10. The rear Dana M275 / M300 axle also has a 14 bolt cover, so make sure you are counting the front differential. If your truck has the Dana 60 front axle, it needs a different part number.
