The front differential hangs low and leads the truck into every rock and ledge. A stamped steel cover that takes a hit can dent into the ring gear or lose its seal and start leaking, and either one can end the trip.

A 3/16" steel skid over the lower section of the differential takes that hit instead, so the cover and the ring and pinion behind it stay protected.

2017 and newer Ford Super Duty trucks with the Dana 60 front axle (10 bolt cover) only.

Not sure which front axle you have? Count the bolts in your front differential cover before ordering. The Dana 60 cover has 10 bolts; the Dana M256 has 14. If your truck has the Dana M256 front axle, it needs a different part number.

Count the bolts on the front differential cover. The Dana 60 has 10; the Dana M256 has 14.

Will it fit the Dana M256 front axle?

No. This skid only fits the Dana 60. The Dana M256 needs a different part number.

No. It is a complete bolt-on kit with Grade 8 hardware included.
