Description
A weld-on front bump stop kit for the 2017–2020 Gen 2 Ford Raptor, engineered to work with the Foutz Motorsports Fabricated Lower Control Arm Kit and its integrated bump pad. A 2.5" diameter, 2.5" stroke bump stop mounted directly to the frame.
The hardest hits in rough terrain happen at full compression, and without a bump stop that energy goes straight into the suspension and frame. This kit absorbs those impacts, greatly improving ride quality in rough terrain and giving the front suspension reliable full compression protection.
What Is In The Kit
- Weld-on bump stop can, MIG welded in-house and shipped raw
- Your choice of FOX, King, ADS or Carbon bump stop, or the bump can only
Why Add A Front Bump Stop
A bump stop is a small hydraulic damper that only works in the last part of suspension travel. When the arm comes up hard, it contacts the bump stop before anything bottoms out, and the bump stop soaks up the impact progressively instead of letting it end in a hard stop.
The result is better ride quality in rough terrain, because the biggest hits are absorbed, and reliable full compression protection for the rest of the front suspension.
