Description
A mid travel front suspension kit for the 2017–2020 Gen 2 Ford F-150 Raptor and 2015 and newer F-150, with fabricated 4130 lower arms, billet aluminum upper arms and frame mounts. The kit stays at stock Raptor width, so no fiberglass is required and the factory tie rod still works.
The suspension geometry has been optimized for on and off-road driving. The kit keeps the stock spring tower, stock spindle and stock shock location, and it is built to grow: add a bypass shock, sway bar, bump stops, a fabricated spindle or billet tie rods when you are ready.
What Is In The Kit
- 2 fabricated lower A-arms with 1.5" uniballs, snap rings and spacers
- 2 billet aluminum upper A-arms with 1.25" uniballs, 7/8" rod ends and spacers
- 1 set of frame mounts for the upper shock tower
- 1 set of limit straps and mounting tabs
Shocks are not included unless you choose the bypass shock option.
Why Mid Travel
Mid travel is the step between stock arms and a full long travel build. New arms and geometry improve how the front end works, but the truck stays at stock Raptor width, so there is no fiberglass to buy and the factory tie rods and spindles carry over.
Because the kit keeps the factory shock location and spring tower structure, you can run it on the stock shock today and add a bypass shock later, without rebuilding the front end a second time.
Shocks And Bypass
The kit works with the stock factory front coil shock or any aftermarket shock that fits the stock location, so the stock spring tower structure stays in place. Keep the stock Live Valve shock on trucks equipped with it, or upgrade to the FOX aftermarket Live Valve coil-over with adjustable coil height.
The kit also allows you to add a custom 3" external bypass shock that mounts to the lower arm, with a top add-on shock mount structure that ties into the factory spring tower to further strengthen it.
The bypass shock uses a very specific layout so it clears even a factory stock Raptor wheel. It must be ordered with your kit to ensure correct fit; no other bypass shock will fit this kit. Choose the FOX custom 3.0" bypass shock option when you order.
How It Is Built
- Full 4130 fabricated lower arms
- Billet aluminum upper arms
- FK rod ends and uniballs
- Bump pad and limit strap mount integrated into the lower arm
- Stock Raptor width
Add-Ons And Upgrades
Front bump stop. The lower arm has the bump pad and limit strap mount built in. The system uses a 2.5" diameter, 2.5" stroke bump stop mounted directly to the frame. Choose the "Bump Stop Mount - Fox bump" add-on to include it.
Front sway bar. The add-on Gen 2 front sway bar kit uses race quality components and is designed to fit alongside the bypass shock. It also adds support to the rear lower A-arm mount, which is inherently weak in stock condition.
Spindle and tie rods. The kit keeps the stock front spindle, which can be upgraded to the FMI fabricated spindle kit later. The factory tie rod works, or you can upgrade to a billet tie rod kit.
Finishes
The billet upper arms are available in FOX orange, black or raw aluminum.

Questions
Do I need fiberglass fenders?
No. The kit is stock Raptor width.
Can I keep my stock shocks?
Yes. It works with the stock factory front coil shock or any aftermarket shock that fits the stock location.
Can I use a different bypass shock?
No. The bypass layout is very specific to clear a stock Raptor wheel, so the shock must be ordered with the kit. No other bypass shock will fit.
Is the bump stop included?
Only if you choose the "Bump Stop Mount - Fox bump" add-on, which includes the FOX hydraulic bump stop with its mount. Without it, the bump pad on the lower arm is ready for one to be added later.
Do I keep the stock spindle and tie rods?
Yes. Both carry over, and either can be upgraded later.
Is it bolt-on?
No. It requires cutting and welding and must be installed by a qualified fabricator.
